Maria Tereza Lund

Biography

Maria Tereza Lund joined Bielski Chapman as an associate in January 2025. Originally from Curitiba, Brazil, Maria moved to the United States to attend college, earning her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University, and later obtaining her J.D. from UIC School of Law.

Before law school, Maria worked in criminal law and family law, gaining hands-on experience in legal research, client advocacy, and case management. During law school, she externed for Justice Jesse Reyes of the Illinois Appellate Court, where she gained insight into appellate practice and judicial decision-making.

At Bielski Chapman, Maria is part of the firm’s Probate Flat Fee Team, where she observes probate cases from start to finish, gaining valuable experience in the process. She is also a member of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois.
Maria is fluent in Portuguese and English, allowing her to assist a diverse range of clients. Outside of work, she enjoys thrifting, yoga, ballet, and cheering for the Detroit Lions.
